The goal of BavAR[t] is to use a gamification model similar to Pokémon Go, leveraging augmented reality to reach a different audience than traditional museum visitors. In this way, we enable cultural institutions to showcase their digital collections in a fun, off-site way, across the entire country. For example, BavAR[t] can be used to display artworks that are stored due to lack of space in institutions, or to exhibit sensitive archaeological pieces that require strict conservation conditions.
