Get to Know Us
BavAR[t] is France’s first shared augmented reality platform for cultural mediation.
Developed by AR[t] Studio SAS, it enables museums, tourism offices, local governments, and cultural institutions to create immersive AR experiences — geolocated trails, augmented visits, traveling exhibitions — without custom development or technical expertise.
Who we are
AR[t] Studio SAS is a French startup founded in 2021, headquartered in Concarneau (Finistère, Brittany). RCS Quimper 901 904 516.
Chloé Guennou, co-founder and CTO, holds a background in astrophysics and led the scientific visualization team at the Institut des Sciences du Calcul et des Données at Sorbonne Université.
Yannick Pazzé, co-founder and COO, previously led a creative agency in New York (Sacrebleu LLC) before co-founding BavAR[t].
The team includes 4 to 6 people depending on projects, with a 3D game artist specialized in photogrammetry and an art director.
What BavAR[t]
does
BavAR[t] transforms any location into an interactive cultural mediation space: It overlays digital content (3D artworks, animations, audio narratives, quizzes) onto real spaces via smartphone. It gamifies the visit with AR[t] Points, a virtual curiosity cabinet, and exchangeable cultural rewards. It measures engagement through visitor analytics (flow, reading time, completion rate). It makes collections accessible beyond museum walls, beyond opening hours and physical constraints. The app is free for visitors. Institutions collaborate with BavAR[t] to create their experiences.
