Bridging Heritage and Digital Culture

✨ Roundtable at Rennes 2 University… Where BavAR[t] merges with the Digital History of #Brittany. ✨

👩‍🦳 X (student from Rennes): So, this “Brittany and Digital Technology” day, what did you think of it?
👩‍🚀 Y (Digital Humanities student): It was fascinating! Imagine, Breton heritage and technology coming together. It was the 10th anniversary of Bretania, and there were tons of people: researchers, cultural professionals, archivists, museum experts, and even the BavAR[t] team.
👩‍🦳: BavAR[t], right? What did they say?
👩‍🚀: They talked about the role and meaning of university education. Do our studies actually prepare us for our future careers? Being a creative studio, they have a different perspective from our academics. They shared the stage with experts like Sylvain Laubé and Antoine Gouritin. They discussed future careers in the digital culture field. It was interesting and accessible for everyone.
👩‍🦳: And the projects? Were they theoretical or hands-on?
👩‍🚀: More hands-on! We saw initiatives like the PlozéCoA project on “fair data,” the Musée de Bretagne portal, and efforts to highlight Breton heritage. Every speaker contributed their piece, like a collective work in progress.
👩‍🦳: So, a not-so-ordinary day at uni?
👩‍🚀: Exactly. It ended on an open note, with a discussion about creating an interprofessional network. Really inspiring for us, future professionals! You get the feeling that heritage is reinventing itself… that culture is alive and well… that our studies matter.

👩‍🦳: I was stuck in my day job. Thanks, mate. Hope the buffet was as good as the talks.
👩‍🚀: It was cool, my friend.
