[Education] Activité éducative en cité…

… du code à la Source pour s’amuser.

A little light on a project in progress in the educational city of Orléans Métropole. Students from Montesquieu Middle School are exploring Python programming, 3D, and artistic discovery. ✨

👨‍💻 The challenge? For two months, middle school students in the computer science option will create a Python program capable of managing a database of 3D artworks, which can be viewed directly in a browser.

Our premise? Learning to code can be as captivating as a treasure hunt! 💡

The result? An exercise inspired by the real-world operation of BavartApp, which will allow them to learn how to structure code and understand how digital artworks are stored and displayed.

In-Class Activities:

  • Introduction: Discovering Python programming and databases… and discovering BavAR[t].

  • Exploration: Understanding how BavAR[t] manages its collections of 3D artworks.

  • Development: Students will code a program to add and organize artworks.

  • Testing and improvements: Debugging and optimizing the code.

  • Final presentation: On May 20, the students will present their project at the “Young Researchers’ Meeting” at the University of Orléans.

🎲 Learning to code by creating a game is our solution to captivate students. The program designed by the students will allow them to playfully learn concepts vital for their curriculum and future studies. It’s an original way to approach mathematics and algorithmic logic while introducing them to 3D.

👏 A big thank you to Montesquieu Middle School and the students for their commitment to this digital adventure! 🚀
