Works and Colors: BavAR[t] Lights Up the European Night of Museums in Tours
For the European Night of Museums 2025, which took place on May 17 across Europe, BavartApp partnered with the museums and châteaux of Tours to offer a unique and immersive augmented reality trail. This innovative project allowed visitors to rediscover historical sites and artworks in a new light, all centered around a vibrant theme that captivated people of all ages.
Thanks to this fun and educational approach, participants were able to join a young artist, Cléo, on her quest to rebuild her paint palette. Each step invited them to discover artworks from a new perspective, blending art history with the science of colors. It’s an innovative way to discover heritage while having fun.
Each point of interest on the trail was a nod to the current and past exhibitions of these cultural sites, thus transforming the city of Tours into a true open-air museum.
This cultural activity was offered in partnership with the Musée des Beaux-Arts (Museum of Fine Arts), the Musée du Compagnonnage (Museum of the Guilds), the Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle (Museum of Natural History), and the Château de Tours (Tours Castle). The trail was available from May 14 to May 31, 2025, in the Cathedral district.
