Art Revisited at the Hospital: A Creative Workshop for Children with BavAR[t]
During the European Heritage Days, art came alive for sick children thanks to a collaborative initiative between BavAR[t] and the Hop We Care association.
Art Revisited is an engaging workshop for children that offers a fun and interactive introduction to art history. The workshop featured reinterpretations of fifteen masterpieces of art history, each transformed into a playful cartoon style, adding a humorous twist to iconic works of art. To enhance the learning experience, the workshop was paired with an educational quiz booklet.
Held at the “Carré” at Necker Hospital and the surrounding gardens, the children and their caregivers had the opportunity to explore these famous artworks in 3D and augmented reality. They were able to search for and interact with the artworks, creating a dynamic and educational journey.
Additionally, the participants could engage with the educational quiz, answering questions to win exciting prizes, including paints, sketchbooks, and watercolor pencils, all generously provided by the Hop We Care association.
This innovative workshop combined technology and art education, bringing cultural enrichment and creativity to young patients, creating a memorable and healing experience at the hospital.
