🎨 Bringing Collections to Life: the Journey of an Immersive Experience

With the BavAR[t] application, cultural heritage becomes digital, interactive, and geolocated: discover cultural content directly on the territory, sometimes linked to a specific place, sometimes independent, allowing audiences to explore and recontextualize artworks in new ways.

🚀 For a cultural actor, creating an immersive exhibition has never been easier.
Here is the process, from design to visibility within BavAR[t]:

1️⃣ Contact and understanding
From local libraries to national museums, from associations to international foundations, from festivals to marketing agencies…
We engage with teams to understand the request, the story, the audience, and the goals in terms of cultural valorisation and mediation.

2️⃣ Research and design
A mix of artists, gamers, mediators, engineers, and enthusiasts!
We analyse objects and artworks to define the most impactful format: augmented reality, 2D/3D content, interactive storytelling…
We can use existing assets or create custom content.

3️⃣ Prototype and validation
We create immersive storyboards and test the modelling with teams and a test audience.
Usually, 1 to 3 iterations are enough to validate the experience.

4️⃣ Digital content production
We design POIs (Points of Interest), labels, audio content, and infographics accompanying each object or artwork.
The goal: to make collections more alive, accessible, and memorable.

5️⃣ Delivery and deployment
The experience is integrated into the BavAR[t] application.
POIs are geolocated on-site and/or off-site, allowing the public to rediscover heritage from a new perspective.

6️⃣ Activation and follow-up
Popcorn, coffee, stress… then feedback, adjustments, POI improvements if needed, extension of the experience if desired, and often… champagne 🍾

⏱ Creation time: from 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on complexity and available content.
⏱ Exhibition duration: up to one year.
