We are pleased to present an ambitious educational project carried out with the students of Charles de Foucauld Middle School in Meung-sur-Loire. Throughout a school year rich in learning, these students transformed into authors, illustrators, narrators, and digital mediators. This multidisciplinary project was designed to allow everyone to express themselves freely.
The project unfolded in several phases:
Creative Writing: The 7th-grade students wrote a fantastic story inspired by local heritage.
Artistic Expression: Each scene was carefully illustrated.
Oral Skills: The students’ narration of the story allowed them to work on their diction and expression.
Digital Initiation: Thanks to BavartApp, their book came to life as an immersive and interactive exhibition, using a technique similar to a diorama.
The final work will be viewable in locations chosen by the students themselves, making them active participants in promoting heritage and transmitting knowledge. This project, supported by the Centre-Val de Loire Region and the City Hall of Meung-sur-Loire, is a great example of active learning where students develop key skills for today’s world. The book is available in a printed version for the students and in a digital format via BavAR[t].
