From Literature to Augmented Reality: An Educational Project at a Middle School in Meung-sur-Loire
✨ We are proud to present an ambitious educational project carried out with the students of Collège Charles de Foucauld
Throughout a school year rich in learning and creativity, these students became authors, illustrators, narrators, and digital mediators.
This multidisciplinary project was designed to give every student the opportunity to express themselves freely while discovering new ways to connect storytelling, heritage, and digital innovation. 📚🎨🎙️
📖 The project unfolded in several stages:
1️⃣ Creative Writing
7th-grade students wrote a fantasy story inspired by local heritage and the history of their territory.
2️⃣ Artistic Expression
Each scene of the story was carefully illustrated, giving visual life to their imagination. 🎨
3️⃣ Oral Skills
By recording the narration of their own story, students worked on diction, confidence, and oral expression. 🎙️
4️⃣ Digital Discovery
Thanks to BavartApp, their book came to life as an immersive and interactive exhibition using a technique similar to a digital diorama. 📱✨
🌍 A project rooted in real places
The final work will be viewable in locations chosen by the students themselves, making them active participants in heritage promotion and knowledge transmission.
They are no longer just learners—they become storytellers of their own territory.
🤝 This project, supported by the Centre-Val de Loire Region and the City Hall of Meung-sur-Loire, is a strong example of active learning, where students develop key skills for today’s world.
📚 The book exists in two formats:
• a printed version for the students
• a digital immersive version available through BavAR[t]
A wonderful way to make education, culture, and heritage come alive together.
