Six Ways to Tell Heritage Stories With Augmented Reality

A trail that runs all year, another that ignites for a single evening. A collection that reaches beyond its walls, an experience that enriches your own. An archive that finds its voice again, an object that no longer fades.

Behind these images, six very concrete services. Here’s what that looks like in practice.

  • A trail that lives all year: institutional mediation. Take the Librairie Hors les Murs (Library Without Walls), which reached 12,500 unique views across 1,514 priority neighbourhoods.
  • Energy concentrated into a few days: event-based mediation. Same logic, in a shorter, more intense format. At the Galaxy Breizh Festival, 140 children made every prize disappear in 48 hours.
  • A collection that travels beyond its walls. Some collections leave the archive to reinvent themselves elsewhere. That’s the bet taken by Carton Voyageur, the postcard museum in Baud, which chose augmented reality to bring 7 postcards to life along a walk through the Blavet valley.
  • And when there’s no content yet? We create it. Historical reconstructions, audio narratives, quizzes, 3D modelling — or our “3D Sheets” feature, which brings a simple archival photo into augmented reality without any modelling at all. 147 models published to date, and 22 out of 22 students succeeded at their first scan during a school workshop.

Six services, one idea : Culture doesn’t need to stay behind a glass case. Do you recognise one of these use cases?
